For Delores Rogers, A Caring Family Makes All the Difference

Delores Rogers came to us six months ago because, after more than a year of living with her son, she needed specialized nursing and hospice care that he could not provide. Delores and her family chose the Widows Home because they were happy with the care and attention she received while she was a patient in our rehab program following a fall-related injury. Delores worked for many years as a nanny in the Dayton area—taking care of children up until she was 80 years old (she is now 81)! Through the years, when she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping at yard sales all over the region. With five children living in Greater Dayton, Delores sees them for regular visits and on holidays, and her son David visits her every single day. She loves music and enjoys participating in many of our community activities such as Bingo, music-themed events, and crafts. Delores and her family are glad they chose the Widows Home for her nursing and hospice care and say they would recommend our community to anyone looking for a place that truly treats each and every resident as an individual with his or her own unique personality and interests.
